If a particular binary
relationship can be derived from a higher-degree relationship at all times, then
it is redundant.
For example, the TAUGHT_DURING
binary relationship in Figure 3.18 (see next slide) can be derived from the
ternary relationship OFFERS (based on the meaning of the relationships)
